The Great Universal
Ruler
(Fr. : Grand Monarque)
The Centuries
have a precise meaning, which is accessible to reason, and were written
to be understood. Nostradamus spent his entire life working and improving
the prophecies that had a crucial value to his own eyes. His last quatrain
remains unfinished and is a good indication of the perseverance with which
he prophesized until his very last day:
6714
Die now whom this well agrees
.
The "Centuries" are quite difficult to understand and
Nostradamus explains at length the reasons for encoding them. He expected
his writings to be censored by the inquisition, his message to be altered
and a phenomenon which he names the "insult of time" to bring trouble on him.
This term means that those in power, the king and the pope, couldn't accept
his visions of a future so radically different from their expectations and
dissimilar to the 16th century. These explanations can be found
in the letters to Henry and to his son (LH 14, 18, 29, 73, 114 and LC 4, 8,
9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 19).
Hopes from a Universal Ruler
Some wars,
revolutions and catastrophes to come will be inevitable because not predicted
on time. Others will be correctly anticipated, but man will be unable to overcome
them because of his limited intelligence in front of a stiff fatality. It
is simple common sense to say that. With regard to this reality, the Centuries
pursue three simultaneous objectives. Firstly, they demonstrate to the coming
generations how accurate the prophecies are as they continue to be verified
throughout history. Secondly, they live on like a warning against some dramatic
events that will afflict humanity unless properly understood and corrective
actions taken. Finally, Nostradamus thinks that a Great Future Universal Ruler
will make sense of some quatrains and will be able to save the world from
its momentary insanity. He addresses this illustrious individual in the "Letter
to Henry II" to let him know that he wishes to pass on a certain knowledge
to him:
Old French: Lettre à Henry
03
Or cherchant quelque occasion par laquelle
ie peusse manifester le bon coeur & franc courage, que moyennant iceluy
mon pouuoir eusse faict ample extension de cognoissance enuers vostre serenissime
maiesté.

Thus, I was looking for an
occasion to show my good-hearted courage, by which my power could have made
a large extension of knowledge towards your most serene majesty.
Most of the materials linked to World War 3 that is
analyzed here belong to the eighth, ninth and tenth Centuries. The prophet
explains at the 5th segment of the "Letter to Henry" that these
three hundred quatrains that finish the thousand should be brought to the
Great World Ruler's attention. King Henry II represents this future head of
state that appeared to him in his visions in the prophecies. Since the recent
world events match his predictions so well, it is a possibility that this
Great Ruler will soon reveal himself in the US, Europe or Japan.

author Plutarque in the Life of Lycurgue.
The world governments' leaders prefer to ignore the sorrowful future that has
been revealed in a great many prophecies for the past two thousand years.
Nostradamus, Jesus before him, the Pope John XXIII, the Apache and Hopis Indians,
oriental Moslems, Buddhists and Hindus as well as the 1002 prophets, who remained
anonymous for most of them, warned about the risks to continue a blind and
foolish development. There would be only a few months left before the apocalyptic
events, while everything unfolds exactly as predicted. Should the world not
quickly become aware of what will inevitably happen, the prophets' past efforts
to bend our human destiny will prove to have been useless. The human course
of events is said to have been cursed because of the original sin. But, if
Nostradamus is right, the great future ruler may hold in his hand a small
remaining hope that could draw together what's left of human positive energies.
