Sardon is derived from Gardon, meaning a river that flows into the Gard (Southern France). Then Gardon is the anagram of dragon.

of the conspirators locked up inside Perugia.

This is the Lake Trasimene in Italy near Perusia. The quatrain must refer to the Punic wars. The place is that of Hannibal's victory in BC218. Could as well be a war in Perusia that opposed Octavius to Antone in BC41. Fr. "Tuant Tedesque sterne & minuse." Tedesque? Sterne? Minuse? Aren't these leaders that were executed? This was translated as meaning the Teutones, but the battle against the Teutones didn't go that far. It seems as if Nostradamus had access to history related books that may have been lost since.

Le lac Trasimene se situe en Italie près de Perouse. Il s'agit d'une allusion à la guerre punique qui fit gagner Hannibal en 218 avant JC. Mais il pourrait tout aussi bien s'agir de la guerre d'Octave contre Antoine en -41.
Pour certains, il s'agit de la guerre contre les Teutons. Mais ceci me semble trop à l'Ouest.
"Tuant Tedesque sterne & minuse." Tedesque? Sterne? Minuse? Ces leaders auraient en commun d'avoir été exécuté.
Se pourrait-il que Nostradamus ait eu accès à des livres d'histoire qui sont désormais détruits !
